Alpha Munitions 6.5mm Creedmoor LRP (OCD)
This looks like above-average brass. 98 of the 100 new cases weighed within a 1 gn. spread with a 0.26 gn. SD. Case length (60 case sample) had a spread of .003". 6 random new, unfired cases had an average water capacity of 50.05 gn. with an impressive spread of 0.14 gn. and a SD of 0.07 gn. The weight/capacity correlation coefficient was a moderate -59%. Outside neck run-out (10 case sample) was under 0.001", but neck wall thickness varied up to 0.002" in individual cases. The primer pockets appear to be precisely formed, and the flash holes appear to have been drilled from the inside. There is a minor amount of brass splinters/burrs around the flash holes on the primer pocket side. You can see it at 8 o'clock in the photo that Altus shows for this particular case. Altus' other photos of different cases don't all show it, and all case photos look perfect on the Alpha Munitions web site. I'm not sure if the particular batch of brass I received had not been completely finished, but I will try to find a way to knock those burrs down. I may also turn the necks to get a more consistent neck wall thickness.

Amazing brass
This brass is incredibly consistent and makes getting low SD and ES numbers a breeze. Alpha Munitions brass is the best brass money can buy. I use it in all my rifles that have it available.
