ALTUS 2 Day Comprehensive Advanced Precision Rifle Course
ALTUS is pleased to announce our ALTUS 2 Day Comprehensive Advanced Precision Rifle Course. In addition to two full days of professional training, the price includes an overnight stay at our new 6,000 square foot lodging facility! The lodge is equipped with a full gym and kitchen that include grills and Traeger Smokers with plenty of covered seating both outside and inside the lodge.
Additionally, we offer high-speed internet with big screen TV’s and even vintage arcade game consoles! While at the lodge, large bathrooms and showers are at your disposal as well as a washer/dryer combo! We don’t want you or your equipment to leave dirty, so we have added an outside weapons cleaning area, so everyone returns safely home better than they arrived!
Our goal with this course is 2-fold. First, to be able to get two full days of professional firearms training with our elite instructors. Second, is to provide an environment to engage with our instructors and like-minded individuals after a good day of training. This course will provide a fantastic opportunity for training and networking with like-minded individuals!

12:30 PM - Academics (Kestrel Review)
1:00 PM - Range time/KD range-walk – DOPE collection
3:30 PM - Range time/UKD refresher/range-walk
5:00 PM - End of Training Day

Note* As this is a full 2-day training course, please bring enough food and drinks to last you both days. There is plenty of refrigerator and food storage space available at the lodge. Hot days? No worries! ALTUS is equipped with a restaurant grade ice machine to fill coolers! Ice cold bottled water will always be provided to students.
The kitchen is stocked with pots, pans, cookware, plates, cups, and silverware for you to utilize. The kitchen also has commercial size coffee makers to help jumpstart the morning.

PREREQUISITES: This is “walk - run” shooting course, all students should have completed the basics of long-range marksmanship and have a solid understanding of their equipment and familiarization of semi-dynamic scenarios.
Participants are required to demonstrate safe weapons handling skills to include loading and unloading procedures.
Altus prides itself in meeting shooters where they are currently with their craft. Our professional and patient instructors will guide and provide feedback during every iteration. This is what we are here to do!
Weapons and Gear:
Below you will find a list of the minimum equipment that will be necessary to complete the course. While not necessary, you may want to consider some of the items on the recommended gear list as it can greatly enhance your training experience. Much of this gear can be found in the ALTUS Range Pro Shop.
EQUIPMENT REQUIREMENTS:
Serviceable Carbine capable of 1MOA @ 100yds
Scope with target turrets MOA or MIL (No Duplex Reticles)
Serviceable Bi-Pod
Serviceable Tri-Pod with attaching mount
Kestrel (Applied Ballistics Platform)
300 rounds of match grade ammunition. (No Green tip / Steel Core Ammunition penetrator is permitted)
Minimum of 2 serviceable magazines (if equipped)
Weapon cleaning kit
Eye and Ear protection
Shooting Mat
Shooting stock rear pad/rest (sand sock) – Shooting bag
Weather appropriate clothing
Any equipment the individual cannot provide must be communicated to ALTUS staff prior to the beginning of training. ALTUS fill shortages on a case-by-case basis.
