Foundation Rifle Stocks' Genesis 2 is a hybrid design combining the grip to trigger spacing of a Foundation Exodus with the fore end of the Foundation Genesis. The Foundation Genesis' wide fore-end, great balance, and flexible attachment mounting options make prone and positional shooting strong points for the Genesis 2. Inlet for the Impact Precision 737R and 787R, the Foundation Genesis 2 is one of the most sought after stocks in the precision rifle game.
When Foundation Rifle Stocks set out to design and build the Genesis line of precision rifle stocks they had one key goal in mind, to build the most exacting and precise rifle stocks available. With a background in both the tool & die and production manufacturing industry, the team at Foundations Rifle Stocks were able to bring a level of precision to the rifle stock that was previously only seen in other high end components found in the precision rifle industry.
Due to being machined out of a solid piece of micarta, the Foundation Rifle Stocks manufacturing process features several advantages over traditional stock manufacturing.
-
The solid block of material gives a dense homogenous material that is absent of any air pockets or voids often found in composite stocks.
-
The structure, density, and stability of the material allows Foundation to machine structural features into the stock that create a balanced stock while maintaining high levels of strength and rigidity.
-
The compression strength of the material allows Foundation Stocks to build an action/DBM specific stock that requires no bedding or pillars.
-
The material is very durable and stable in extreme environments. It is also extremely resilient to abuse and can be easily brought back to its original luster if scarred.
Foundation Rifle Stocks uses advanced CAD software to design and model their stocks, while also working with action manufactures and rifle builders to provide precise and exact fitment. The end result is a stock that exhibits a fit and finish that is unmatched by any composite stock on the market.

Foundation Genesis II Stock
This is the glue for my shooting system that brings everything together in a solid, high performing, and beautiful package. Everything fit without the need for any tweaks or adjustments. The only advice i would offer when ordering this stock is to consider spacers to adjust length of pull. Be sure to ask Altus about them when odering and they come in 1", .5", and .25". If you have long arms like me, you might need at least .5". When ordering the spacers, make sure they come with replacement bolts. Foundation said spacers should come with the replacement bolts because otherwise, you might not have enough length to tighten everything down properly., This is especially important if using a 1" spacer

Foundation Genesis 2 Stock
Simply Amazing. Takes a nice barreled action and turns it into a work of art that inspires confidence. The quality of these stocks are heirloom grade, and are built to do work in the field as well.

I have not used this stock yet as I am still waiting for a pre-fit barrel. So far my impressions are good. Fit & finish are excellent.
